Our voyage on the Va'a Rahi catamaran from Papeete to Tetiaroa took over three hours.

We left our hotel in Papeete at 4:30 am so we could travel to Tetiaroa for our all night ceremony.

Many of us rested on the nets where we were splashed by the waves.

Others were comfortably perched all over the boat.

In order to get inside the reef surrounding Tetiaroa's lagoon, we transferred from our catamaran into small Zodiac boats.

Which sped towards the reef at a high speed....

So they could LEAP over the reef....

After walking for about 15 minutes on one of the small atolls, we were met by whaleboats which transported us to the main atoll.

Each whaleboat held around twenty people, so they made several trips.
